HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hey beauts! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

So last night my sister and I did some pumpkin carving and instead of being boring and doing a normal face we decided to be a bit more creative. Mine was meant to be the Little Mermaid - if you've seen the film you will see that does it kind of look like her. I was actually quite proud of my pumpkin. Sophie turnt hers into a traditional cat, which I thought was very cute.

Anyway I never meant for this to turn into a blog post so excuse bad quality photos and terrible lighting. Me and my younger sister were just having a lot of fun and it was such a fun night.

How did you carve your pumpkin this year?

Fancy becoming a blogger? | Tips&Tricks

Hello lovelies!   I get asked so many times a day about little things that helped me become a confident blogger.. I know how it feels when you have the weight of stress on your shoulders when starting up a blog.. You don't know what to write about and how to interest your readers. When I first started blogging I discovered some little tips and tricks that personally helped me and I'm going to share a few with you all!

Tips

Don't rush things. When I first set up my blog I rushed into writing posts straight away..this led to them being rubbish quality and lacking that certain spark that interests readers. I often found myself uploading multiple times a day..boredom was the reason why. I soon discovered that anticipation can lead your readers wanting to hear more! They get excited for the next post if you leave a day or two in between.

Long walks are the best way to discover new ideas for a new blog post, otherwise whilst your sat in your room surrounded by social media you don't have a lot of ideas flowing around as your minds often in a whole other place. Whereas when your out in the open you don't have that distraction affecting you.

Make sure your pictures are a decent size so there clear to see. By this I mean don't have your pictures set as small or extra small, my photos are usually large as this makes them clearer to see and better quality.

Join chats on twitter! This is not only a great way to advertise your blog but also a great way to make blogging friends! Every Wednesday and Sunday at 7pm - 8pm on twitter there is a #bbloggers chat were bloggers come together. You can ask questions and they'll get answered. There so much fun too!

Try and blog frequently, the more you blog the more people will notice you and your blog. Like I said before putting up more than one post a day can be too much, so be careful about how much content you put up.

Collab! Collabing especially with a more experienced blogger will boost your views. Try and make your collabs as interesting and as fun as you can. This was your not helping your own blog but the other persons too!

Remember I am not an expert blogger but these are just a few things that really helped me when I first started blogging!

Small Haul!

Hey lovelies! As its half term me and my older sister Mad took full advantage and went to Lakeside to do some shopping*again!*... mainly because a new mac store has just opened there! Me being me was very excited about this and wanted to make a sneaky purchase straight away!

I'm usually a wimp when it comes to darker lips in all honesty, however I have been trying to venture out a bit more! I saw this lip butter by collection in superdrug and tried it on.. I actually really liked it.. A LOT! This is so moisturising and just glides on.. it doesn't last all that well though but I don't mind re-applying it!

YEEEE! I'm super excited about this - yesterday I purchased my first mac product! I know I'm late on buying mac but there's never been one near me! I bought the studio tech foundation as I had heard so many good reviews on it. Once I've used this a few more times I will review it!

I've had a beauty blending sponge before but its gone all horrid now so it was time to buy a new one! Before I was using superdrugs own and it started to crumble... The real techniques one is only £5.99 so It was nothing considering this will last me a long time!

I love Zoella like most others, so when she bought out her own beauty range as you can imagine I got very excited and told myself I needed to get something asap. I picked up the body mist because it smells so fruity and fresh! This is the perfect hand bag size too!

Weekend Makeup Routine

Hey lovelies!

Today I have a longer post for you all as it is my 'Weekend Makeup Routine'. The reason why I am not calling it a everyday makeup routine is because when I'm at school I don't really bother with a lot of makeup. The makeup routine I am going to show you is based on if I am making a bit more effort and going somewhere nice!

Face

Prime that face... I always without a fail use a primer. Recently I have been loving the Seventeen miracle matte primer. The name says it all, it literally has been a miracle worker. My skin hasn't been anywhere near as oily when I use this!

Like most other people I am not a huge fan of foundation so I nearly always opt for a BB cream of some sort. Lately I have found myself constantly reaching for this one by Maybelline*full review on its way!* This gives off a really nice colour and a good amount of coverage - perfect for a natural look.

I like to use two difference concealers - both for different reasons! I love using the Match Perfection concealer under my eyes as it contains highlighter. Obviously if your like me and don't go to bed till gone twelve most nights you definitely need to make your eyes look a lot more awake than they really are!
Collections lasting perfection concealer is a lot thicker and has a lot more coverage so I use this on my blemishes and any other places where redness occurs.

Eyes!

Eyes! I absolutely wearing eye makeup! It can really make your makeup look something a little more special!
Lemon Aid by Benefit is the best eye primer...EVER! This doesn't crease at all and again helps brighten up your eyes, big time!
Maybelline color tattoo is a personal favourite of mine for a real smokey eye look. Lately I have been loving a smokey eye - whether it be a dark or light smokey eye!
I've already spoke so much about the Revolution palette, since buying it, it has  mot definitely been my go to palette.

Powder!

I usually always use my Rimmel Stay matte powder - however lately I have not been such a big fan. I picked up this powder by collection the other day and I am now converted to this powder! It gives off a medium coverage too so it could even been worn alone!

  Eyebrows!

Literally if I don't fill my brows in - they don't exist! One eyebrow palette I have been loving is this Revolution palette.

Mascara!

I wont go on too much because this is such a hyped about product, but I am one of those people that loves the Benefit they're real mascara*guilty*. It's just too good not to have in your makeup collection!

Contouring!

On a weekend I really love to contour, mainly because I feel like my face doesn't have much defined features e.g. cheekbones so I make them appear! I really like the Hoola bronzer because its the only bronzer that doesn't make me look cakey or muddy! The posie tint and high beam are just holy grale prouducts..enough said.

Lipstick

Depending on the look I have gone for depends on what lip I go for. However lately I have been wearing my Benefit bad gal lipstick a lot!

Sorry for rambling!  Whats your go to makeup look for a weekend?

#BLOGGERSAGAINSTCANCER

Hey lovelies! Recently I was reading Chloe's latest blog post where she set up a website for people to donate money to help beat cancer. Cancer is something that sadly nearly every single person has in their family. You most likely have either known someone who has passed due to cancer, survived it or is still battling it to this day! Cancer is something I am so strongly against!

To donate online click here or text 'BLAC66 £2' to 70070

I know not everyone is rolling in money and that's why us bloggers only ask that you donate just £2 out of your purse! Without using the excuse that's it coming up to Christmas, take a minute to think about the people who may be in hospital this Christmas. By donating £2 maybe by next year they wont be!

7 in 10 people survive after suffering with cancer. Although this has improved over the years - we can make this reach at least eight people! Bloggers and Vloggers are such a powerful community that if you share this post on your Instagram, Twitter or just tell you family and friends we alone could make a difference.

I have donated already, will you?

*Chloe's link* Copy this code to add the Donation button to you blog's sidebar:

DIY | Memories Jar

Hello lovelies!

I'm trying to up my blogging game and post a lot more now! Today I have a little simple DYI for you all! I'm one of them people that often forget a lot of things, I can never remember the memories my friends remember! To prevent this I have created myself a little memories jar, so I can write down my memories and when I'm a lot older open them up and have a read of all my memories and hopefully remember them!

First of all I took an empty jar, this is an empty yankee candle jar! I recommend going for a bigger one so therefore you can save more memories! *I've already started adding some!*

Create your self a little label to stick on the jar - mines only temporary because I don't like it that much but it will do for now!

You now stick it on with some tape, preferably see through tape though! To make my jar looked a little cuter I added some little pictures onto my jar too. You don't have to do this but I did because I wasn't a fan on how plain it looked!

This was a real quick cute DYI - I want to start doing some more DYI posts so send me your ideas!

Lush Haul | Christmasy bits!

Hey beauts!

The other day I popped into lush after watching Zoe's new lush haul video with every intention of just having a sniff of a few of the products! Obviously this didn't happen! I got far too excited about all the new Christmas stock!

 Bath Melt!

This is an old classic 'The Melting snowman'. This is such a typical Christmas scent, to me it smells like cinnamon spice! I love it! The only downfall to this product is that it never stays in one piece!

 Bath bomb!

This is so cute! I'm dying! It's the butter bear, basically butterball in the shape of a little bearl! I've had the butterball before and it made my water feel so smooth and silky!

I know it's not really Christmas yet and a lot of you will hate me for already getting this but its Father Christmas, how could I not! This year its different though, Father Christmas now has the snow fairy scent! I cant remember what the scent was last year but it smells gorgeous!

Shoot for the stars makes me smile because of how colourful it is! This is definitely one of the most exciting bath bombs lush do! It's such a fun bathbomb! It also smells gorgeous!

EEEEKKK! SNOWMAN JELLY! I've had lush's shower jelly before but I think this one is new this year! It smells like blackcurrant, this contains buchu oil and carrot oil so its super soft! If you have a lush near you, I recommend going to look at this as the jellys in the shape of a snowman!!

That's my lush haul..for now!

Autumnal Lips!

Hello lovelies! Sticking with the autumn theme today I have decided to share with you all my favourite shades of lipstick for autumn this month! Although I'm quite annoyed that it hasn't really begun to feel like Autumn yet I'm still finding everyway to make it feel like autumn!

Swatches start with Calvin Klein no1, Kate Moss 107, Cien fiery red, Benefit bad gal(doesn't give a shade name or number)
A lot of people think deep red or purple when it comes to Autumn lipsticks. However I have been adding darker pinks to my collection this year and have been loving them!

I do myself like to stick to deep reds in the autumn, I am obsessed with the Kate Moss lipstick its such a gorgeous matte deep red. Zoella wears a lot of lipsticks this shade in the autumn time! I would recommend if your going to use darker lips use a lip liner! This just really helps keep them in place throughout the day!

Confidence when wearing darker lips is such a big thing. Embrace the look, a lot of people are scared to go for a darker lip but they look so classy and beautiful on so many people its worth a try!

These are just a few of my favourite autumn lipsticks, do you have any particular favourites?
