February Favourites | Beauty

Hey beauts. It's that time of the month again where I share with you all my favourites from the current month.  This month was a pretty good'en on the beauty front. I fell in love with so many products all over again.

Neutrogena daily scrub - For some reason this past month my skin has been in a never ending spot rut. Nothing has helped it clear up apart from the Neutrogena pink grapefruit daily scrub. I haven't used this in so long and I blimmin' love it.

Mac Studio Tech Foundation - If you remember I did a review on this and disliked it to a degree. I was quite disappointed that I spent £25 on this and didn't even like it, I went back and started using it again. I kept trying it out and trying to find the perfect way to use it. I finally have found the correct way to use it and make it work for myself.

MUA sleek sheen lip balm - You know the benebalms? you want one but don't want to spend the horrendous amount of money they cost? Me and my mum found the perfect dupe, MUA created a dupe and I'm in love. The formula is so beautiful and the pigmentation is also gorg.

Natural Collection Bronzing Pearls - As much as I love the hoola bronzer when it runs out I don't know if I will have the guts to fork out for another. For £1.99 I bought the bronzing pearls by natural collection, these are perfect for an all over bronze. I swirl my brush around and then dust it over my face for a gorgeous bronzed glow.

Calvin Klein eye-shadow in Cashmere Plum -  I love this eye-shadow so much. It glides on so easily and looks gorgeous all over the lid with eyeliner. The lasting power is brilliant. I got this for Christmas in a set a few years ago and never even thought to use it. Whereas lately it's all I've been wearing on my lid.

Lush Honey  Trap Lip Balm - My lips are so horridly chapped and dry at this time of year. I got this lipbalm a little while ago. It's so moisturising and thick, it has helped my lips so much! This has vanilla and milk chocolate and honey in, it smells divine.

My Weekly Obsessions

Hey lovelies. Recently Velvetgh0st restarted her blog and one of her new posts was 'My Weekly Obsessions'. I really enjoyed reading it and thought this would be a nice blog post as something different to massive monthly favourites all the time.

First up is a bloody gooden, I got this perfume for Christmas and I am well and truly in love with it. I don't usually plan to re-purchase perfumes as I like to try new scents all the time however when this one runs out I shall.

Sooo many people hate a felt tip eyeliner and I honestly don't know why because I 100% prefer them! I find this so much easier to use, especially if I'm going to do a cat eye.  This has been an absolutely holy grale for me!

I love a good lippy but usually I don't fall in love one particular lipstick usually just a certain shade. However for the last few weeks I have been obsessed with Macs cremesheen cream in your coffee. It's just such a stunning colour and the lasting power is a god send.

If you're like me and have horrid short brittle chewed nails, its gross but true. Then seriously go out and get yourself this miracle of a product. It's the Sally Hansen advanced hard as nails, nail strengthener. I whack this on whenever I get the chance in the hope of my nails becoming thick instantly, it acts like a protector against anything when on your nails.

Come on, this is an obsessions post so of course The Little Mermaid is going to be in here. If you've been here a while you'd know that I'm bloody in love with that film and have been since I was teeny tiny. My dad was so lovely and bought me some little mermaid pj's, bless his heart. These did come with a matching top but the bottoms are my fave. There legging type bottoms so are  really comfortable as I HATE ankle swingers.. even as pyjamas. I've rarely took these off since to be honest.

There all the things I have been obsessing over later, let me know if you would like to see more of these posts!

Whats In My Bag | Beauty Deprived

Hey beauts! For as long as I've had this little place on the internet I have longed to do a 'what's in my bag' post. I love watching/reading these posts and lets be honest don't we all love a nosey into other peoples bags?!  The bag I've been using for about a year is a beautiful cream satchel from Topshop, which I bought for £15 in the sale a few years back. It's real leather and was in perfect condition so was an absolute bargain. It's the perfect size and doesn't look like it would fit a lot in but surprisingly it does! It's my little Nanny McPhee bag.

Lately, I have been using my Mulberry purse which I received for Christmas. This is the perfect size and fits all my crap in it e.g. receipts, cards, money and vouchers. A lot of the time I will just take a little coin purse out with me but I'm in love with this one so I hardly ever replace it!

Of course my phone is always in my bag. I'd be lost without it, this is the IPhone 5 in white and for those of you wondering my lock screen is of me and my best friend Ben. I know my screen could do with a clean but I just always forget!

Headphones are an absolute must for me, these come in handy so much. I get anxious around travelling due to suffering with very bad travel sickness so even if I'm only getting a bus I always have to have my headphones so I can listen to music and take my mind off things. These are the new apple ones but I usually use the old apples ones. However they were a tangled mess..

This is the most useful thing in my bag by far. My phone is terrible for battery life so before I go out I charge up my portable charger so if my phone does begin to run low on charge then I can plug it in and not stress about not being able to use my phone. I seriously recommend you all get one of these. You can thank me later.

I adore this Little Mermaid pocket mirror more than you will understand. Okay, we can check our makeup on our front camera on our phones but they're never good enough lets be honest. You can always count me on to have a mirror.

I get really self conscious that I smell so I always either carry around a perfume of body mist of some sort. I forever find myself topping up my perfume about a million times throughout the day because I get so nervous that I reek. My current favourite perfume is Storm Flower by Cheryl Cole and oh my, oh my this smells divine. I am in love with this perfume so much and it makes me feel good too.

We all know that I will not go anywhere without having some sort of makeup with me. Lipstick being one of them, I don't care if it claims to last 24hrs I will  take it with me in case it doesn't and I do need to touch up because nothings worse than patchy lipstick. Recently I have been wearing Macs Cremesheen 'Cream in your coffee' quite a bit.

A lot of people look at me weirdly when I say I carry around mascara with me everywhere. It's one of them products that rarely needs touching up but still you never know when you might cry or smudge it off with the back off your hand by mistake, do you?. If you have a mini sample that you like then carry that with you because I know some can be a little bit bulky.

I hope you all enjoyed having a little nosey into what I carry around with me on a day to day basis!

Denman Classic* | Review

Hey beauties! The other week I was lucky enough to receive a parcel from Denman, inside I found the Denman Classic D3 Styling Brush in a gorgeous vibrant pink! This was bought out for valentines and I personally think the brush is adorable. The brush has an anti-static rubber pad to provide maximum grip whilst blow drying leaving your hair smoother than before. This retails for £7.31.

I really struggle with finding a hair brush that doesn't make my hair go static, this one however is a miracle. It leaves my hair feeling so smooth and knot free. This is the right size for my hair as its fairly thin and mid-length. The bristles get in between all of the hair evenly.

I personally love using this brush for blow drying, it helps boost the volume of my hair after and the brush doesn't melt! Which has happened to me before!  I was quite nervous but this lived up to my expectations. The handles really sturdy and easy to hold on to, as its the perfect size and not slippery at all.

Okay all that aside, but the main thing I love about the brush is how beautiful it is. It's such a girlie brush and I don't mind getting this out in public because I enjoy showing it off! I will definitely find myself buying a few more of there brushes!

This was a sponsored post but all opinions are my own!

They're Real vs Roller Lash | Beauty Comparison

Hello gorgeous! I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday:).
If you know me then you will know my love for Benefit, especially their mascaras! Recently I have been trying out their new Roller Lash mascara and wanted to do a comparison post on the roller lash and the they're real as they are both very hyped mascaras. Before we start I hated the brush on the They're Real mascara that I did actually cut off the 360 degree end as it didn't do anything for me!

They're Real ~

The They're Real mascara is a really good mascara if you're looking for something to lengthen your lashes and give them a real boost of volume! I used this for school and it always look pretty natural. If you're like me and like to do a few coats of mascara then this is a problem with this mascara. I find it dries rather quickly and you have to work with it real quick before your chance is over. I usually do two coats of mascara, but you do only need one coat of this. You can build it up for a more false eyelash look but I personally like to keep it simple.

This is pretty simple to remove, it isn't the easy with makeup wipes as it's water proof however with a good eye makeup remover your good to go. The lasting power as in if it holds the curl is okay! It doesn't instantly drop however it doesn't tend to last all day which sucks because that really lets the mascara down:(.

Roller Lash ~

Roller Lash actually hasn't been released yet and its only available in the Elle magazine right now.

I love this mascara so much! The wand is just perfect, it has such a nice curve which is great to get the perfect curl and volume, along with length too! The bristles are a good size shape and they really get in between all your lashes. This mascara doesn't dry up quickly so you do have time to actually play around with it or build it up if you wish. This has honestly become my holy grail mascara.

When it comes to removing the mascara again you just need a decent eye makeup remover. This mascara honestly stays in place all day, holding the curl and volume right up until you remove it. I will definitely buy the full size of this when it is released!

Overall ~

I think the Roller Lash is a pretty obvious winner in my eyes, I've not always been a huge fan of the They're Real. I did like it but I didn't think it deserved all the hype it was getting. I really recommend you go out and try the Roller Lash because the difference it makes is amazing. It makes your lashes look so beautiful! :)

If you've tried the Roller Lash tweet me your pictures with you wearing it : @kieramurrellxo

Botanicals Cleanser | Review*

Hey beauties!

The other week I received a lovely package from Botanicals in the post and couldn't wait to review it. This was sent to me to do a review but all opinions are my own.

This is a renewing clay and bamboo cleanser, it's perfect if you're a vegan as all the ingredients are natural. However there is a lot of oils involved which concerned me at first but its such a lovely feeling cleanser.

You put half a teaspoon into the palm of your hand and add some water to create a paste. Then you gently massage it into your skin in circular motion, if you want you can wash it of straight or leave it on for a little longer.

I personally wash it off straight away because of the oils in it and if I leave it on for too long my skin is ultra oily the next day! My skin has been a little extra oily since using this so I don't use this every single day.

However my mum has been using this as she has dry skin and it's been working miracles for her. She leaves this on for about twenty minutes every night and it has helped revived her skin so much!

January Favourites | 2015

Hello lovelies!

Please explain how we are in February already!!! This is madness, it only feels like yesterday I was celebrating NYE with my friends and family. To kick start February off I thought I would share my favourites with you all as I haven't done one of these posts since September!

Dior Blush - 836 Vintage Rose

Argh who remembers my love for this blusher by Dior back in 2013?!. I completely forgot about this and have recently fallen back in love with it! I don't use the pink shade of this, I tend to go for the more coral as its more natural and is a lot more pigmented to be honest.

St Ives - Apricot Scrub

St Ives were kind enough to send me this scrub as part of their #stivessurprise day on twitter. When this arrived I was so excited to use it and it has helped my skin so much. After using this my skin feels so clean and fresh! Scrubs never appealed to me before however this has changed my mind so much and I will definitely re-buy this!

Soap&Glory - sexy mother pucker lip lacquer in Charm Offensive

This is my favourite of my favourites! I very rarely find a lip product that I love and have bought back ups for already. I got this for Christmas and I have been wearing it everyday since, I love it so much that I went into boots and bought another one just in case I run out or it gets discontinued! Its a nudey brown colour and is such a lovely formula, this is the non stickiest lip lacquer I have found!

Kelly Brook perfume - Audition

I don't often have a favourite perfume as it depends on the way I'm feeling as to which scent I go for so I've never actually had a scent I wear religiously everyday. This perfume by Kelly Brooks definitely changed that! I have been wearing this non-stop and I think it might be my signature scent from now on!

Maybelline fit me foundation - 115

You may have seen this in my 'WHATS IN MY MAKEUP BAG' blog post the other day. I am so obsessed with this foundation, its the perfect coverage and shade! I struggle with foundations but this one is the perfect one for me!

Makeup Revolution Palette - Iconic 3

If you're on a tighter budget or simply just not ready to buy the naked three palette yet in case your worried of not using it enough the in recommend this palette my Makeup Revolution. It's a dupe for the naked three and they're practically identical! The pay off from this palette is beautiful and I've been using it to create almost all my current eye shadow looks!

There all my favourites from this month, have you been loving anything lately?
