Christmas Treats

Hi beauts.

Today I thought I would share some treats for you all to make right before Christmas. These would be perfect to make on Christmas Eve with your family ready for Christmas day.

GINGERBREAD MASON JARS - HOW CUTE?! These are actually so adorable! I'm obsessed with these. Instead of gingerbread houses, make gingerbread mason jars. These would look so adorable at the dinner table, filled with little chocolates. You could even wrap them and give them as little gifts in stockings. Or tie them with a ribbon too.

CHRISTMAS TREE BROWNIES - These are probably the easiest treat to make. You make one large batch of brownie and cut it into triangles. I personally love the idea of the candy cane acting like the trunk of the tree. These looks like you've put so much effort in, when in fact it hasn't even taken you too long! Imagine how cute these would look on the table full of treats!

GINGERBREAD COOKIES - I have a serious thing for ginger around Christmas. Especially ginger biscuits, topped with white chocolate. These look so classy and would also taste great too! I'd actually dip these into my tea whilst watching a Christmas film.  Me and mum have already bought the ingredients for these to make on Christmas eve!

RUDOLPH CRUNCH - (aka popcorn with assorted nuts drizzled with chocolate) - This would be perfect for Christmas day evening watching all the Christmas specials. I'm a sucker for popcorn and chocolate, and also nuts too. This is the perfect combination for me!! You could also put this into mason jars and give it out in peoples stockings.

MACAROONS - Red Velvet macaroons with cream cheese filling - I love red velvet as much as the next person. These one looks particularly cute because of the sprinkles which in a way resemble holly. Macaroons are quite simple to make and also taste great too. They also look like they've taken you a long time..

There all the Christmas Treats I chose to share with you all day!! I hope you're all having a lovely build up Christmas! Again sorry for the lack of posts due to school work.

Christmas Tag

Hey lovelies. Today I thought I would do the Christmas Tag because despite being on here for almost three years, I don't think I've ever done this.

What's your favourite Christmas movie?
Elf. Obviously, you can't beat Elf at Christmas time. However I also really love all the Home Alones!

Do you open presents on Christmas morning or Christmas evening?
We've always opened our presents on the morning. The excitement in our household just gets too much and we couldn't wait till the evening, even if we tried. However we do see family in the evenings at dinner, so I guess we open them in the evening too. However the majority are opened in the morning.

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Every Christmas is amazing. Every year they get better and better. However, we have all these family videos from when me and my sister were younger, and in one of them you see me open my first baby born. I was so chuffed, and had the biggest grin. That's my favourite memory ever. I just looked so content. But as I said Christmas gets better every year.

What's your favourite festive food?
Christmas Pudding. As much as I love Christmas dinner, nothing beats the Christmas Pudding that comes afterwards. We usually have it at my nans on Boxing Day and it makes me feel so warm on the inside.

What's been your favourite Christmas gift?
My dolls house, when I was younger my parents bought me a gorgeous wooden dolls house. It was kitted out with the most stunning vintage furniture and diddy little dolls. I was in love with it, I'm pretty sure it's in our loft still. I'd love to give it to my children when I'm older. I got so much enjoyment out of this. Pretty sure I spent the rest of that Christmas Day in the corner arranging all my furniture. Sad part is I'd enjoy doing that now..

What's your favourite Christmas scent?
Anything with a spice to it. I love any cinnamon/ginger scents around this time of year. But I am also a sucker for Yankee's Christmas Cookie - the complete opposite to cinnamon as it's a super sweet scent. But it lingers around the room without having to be lit which I love.

Do you have a Christmas Eve Tradition?
Every year mum makes up a box, and puts our Christmas pjs in there. She also usually pops in a few Christmas DVDs that we all watch together throughout the night. There's always a little card too and mum often likes to make us home made gifts too,  Another tradition is one me and my sister made, every Christmas Eve she hops into my bed for the night, we plait each others hair and watch Elf together. Cute.

What tops your tree?
An angel to remember all those in our family who have passed, I'm pretty sure we've never had a star,

As a child, what was the one (crazy, extravagant) gift you wanted but never got?
A life size doll and thank god I never got one, there far too creepy. You used to be able to get dolls the size of real toddlers and I longed for one so bad but it never happened. Probably because mum was terrified of them haha.

What do you think is the best part of Christmas?
Everything. Although every Boxing Day everybody from my dads family goes to my nans house for Boxing Day, we pig out on another Christmas dinner, and more treats. We also play games, watch the Christmas specials and all just hang out. I'd be lost if we didn't do this. I love Christmas because it means my whole family get together and I can't stop smiling when they do.

MAC Christmas Wishlist

Hi gorgeous.

My MAC wishlist is as usual full of stunning make up pieces that  I've had my eye on for a while. I've actually sent this list to my dad, hoping he'll get the subtle hint haha! There's a lot of lipstick..

MAC PROLONG WEAR FOUNDATION - I already own this foundation however I know I'll be in need of a new one soon, so it was best to ask for it for Christmas and have it there when I need it. I did a whole review on this if you're interested too.  (£25.50)

TWIG - I always opt for the same tone of lipsticks, pink/nudes, or brownish purples. Twig is a stunning nude, purple undertone. This is such a gorgeous everyday colour that can look more sophisticated with a heavier make-up look.  (£15.50)

MAC PROLONG WEAR CONCEALER - I've never tried this however after trying the foundation and loving it, I'm more than willing to give this a go. I've heard a lot of good things about this. I also like how it's in a pump, as this makes it a lot easier to use. (£17.50)

VELVET TEDDY - One everybody beauty bloggers, mum, nan and every other female in their family has tried. Yet I still haven't. For some reason I've been putting this off for months because I'm scared it will drown me out, or look to nude on me. Especially since its matte. However its too gorgeous to resist not putting it on my wishlist.  (£15.50)

FAUX - Just another classic everyday colour. It's a shade that suits my skin tone really well and is so easy to wear. I've seen all my friends wear this and envy them every time!  (£15.50)

PROLONG WEAR BROWSET - I hate my eye brows. I despise doing them. I always enjoy doing my make-up but the second it comes to brows I want to give up. They never look natural, and they always look powdery. I was recommended this by a friend who said it always makes her brows look natural and takes 2 seconds instead of twenty minutes. (£14.00)

HONEYLOVE - If you watch Anna Saccone you will see that she wears this shade almost every day. It always looks beautiful. It's again nude based, see the theme here? I just love very easy to wear ,lip shades. I particularly like that this one has a more brown undertone. (£15.50)

ENCHANTED EVE EYES(NEUTRAL) - Every year MAC brings out a Christmas range. This year it's called Enchanted Eve. I wasn't that intrigued by the majority of it in all honesty. However this eye palette caught my eye, I've been digging neutral tones so much lately. This looks like the perfect every day go to palette. (£32.00)

PREP+PRIME SETTING SPRAY - Who in the beauty guru community hasn't heard the hype about this fixing spray. I've always just shrugged it off, but my make-up hasn't been lasting as long lately which is a pain. I've decided that it might be time that I maybe try this out to save my make-up from sliding off my face throughout the day. (£17.00)

Homemade Christmas Gifts Ideas♥

Hey beauts.

With Christmas literally just around the corner I thought I would share some DIY Christmas gift ideas, that I've been gathering on my DIY Christmas pinterest board. Home made Christmas gifts always come across that a little more thoughtful and sentimental. These are also cute if like me you're doing secret santa this year and stuck for ideas!

This is my personal favourite gift idea. Hot Chocolate in a jar?! What more could you want. This would be perfect for those with a sweet tooth. They could enjoy this on Christmas day whilst watching all the Christmas films and shows on TV.  This is super easy to make too, you don't particularly need to be creative for this gift either.

Cinnamon Body Scrub. Everybody's skin needs a good ex-foliate in these Wintery, cold months. This would be more suitable for the older generations of your family - so any aunts, your mum, older cousins and nans, as they would probably appreciate it a lot more. With it being home-made too, it means everything you use will be natural so it shouldn't irritate their skin either. Like both of these gifts they can also re-use the jar after too.

This ones perfect for grandparents. Without a doubt, your grandparents will have a stack of coasters within their home. Mine do anyway.. Usually their plain and not that exciting, but they're always being used. So this year you could make them personalised, so they look a lot more sentimental on the coffee table. They'd also give whoever you gift them to a warm feeling inside, because everybody loves a personalised gift.

Everybody loves having snow globes to put up around Christmas time. They're a simple but gorgeous decoration that's subtle and blends with any decor. Usually a snow globe may seem quite last minute to people, but if you've made it yourself then it will show you've put the time and effort into their gift. Snow globes would be perfect for young children as you could personalise them, for example a Frozen themed snow globe would go down a treat for so many little children this year.

Biscuits scream Christmas to me as it's the time of year that my nan always buys the massive tins and constantly has them out whenever we visit around Christmas. My nan or nana would absolutely love this selection of all their favourite biscuits. It looks cute and tastes great too. This would also just be cute to make for your own home around Christmas for when people visit.

I wanted to include a gift that you could make for somebody who is longer with us, Earlier this year I lost my aunty Cath and we were so close. This Christmas will be tough without her, however me and my sister have decided that we are going to make personalised lanterns to light on Christmas Eve in memory of Cath. So that she knows we are still thinking of her and love her so much still.

Keep a look out for more Christmas posts!!
