Healthy snacks♥

Hey everybody!
Lately I have trying to be eating a lot healthier and choosing healthy snacks over something like chocolate*why does it taste so good?!*.
I thought I would share with you all some healthy snacks I have been eating lately.

A lot of people when they get home from school go straight to their cupboards or fridge and snack on something un-healthy, but why not try a small variation of fruit?. It's a lot  healthier and a lot better for you! You can add whipped creamed or Greek yoghurt, anything that tickles your taste buds to make your snack more interesting!

I have recently subscribed to a weekly subscription called Graze Box which I'm sure a lot of you are aware of. I chose the light box which means its 4 different snacks with the lowest amount of calories. These taste amazing! You sometimes even get little tea bags  to enjoy with your snacks! Get your first box today http://www.graze.com/uk/. This week I got popcorn which I'm really curious about and I hope it tastes nice!

If you find it hard to eat healthy then have a treat night where you can award yourself with some chocolate or your favourite sweet. This can really help because you make yourself work harder so you can eat that piece of chocolate and feel good about it!

What's your favourite healthy snack?
Lots of love, Kiera

I will be doing a healthy dinner post soon too!

Pamper Evening♥

Hey everybody!
Whenever I have one of those crappy days where everything just seems 'meh' I like to have an evening of therapy.
And my therapy is my current favourite book, a film & using products that'll make me feel all clean and pampered and refreshed!
The first thing I do is run a bath - I don't know what it is about lying in a tub of my own dirt but it makes me so relaxed and really boosts my mood! 99% of the time I'll use a LUSH bath bomb/bubble bar and for this particular bath I used 'Creamy candy bath'  It smells amazing. Wait that's not it- it smells divine.
Yes, divine.

Once my fingers and toes look like prunes I'll accept it's time to get back to reality and put some cosy pj's on. If I have one lying around then I will put on a face mask- recently I have been loving 'Self Heating' face masks in particular.
I tend to read my current favourite book whilst my facemask is working its magic and cleanses my pores.

In my opinion there is no better way to end a pamper evening than with a film or two, or three*why not*. I am not fussy with the types of films I like to watch.. I enjoy films with some action, a rom com, a girly chick flick and of course DISNEY!!
My all time favourite Disney film is The Little Mermaid, I know it word for word and I watch it all the time, I'm obsessed!*no literally, I cant get enough of it*.  However today I decided to watch something different..
*Taken *The Perks Of Being A Wallflower *Enchanted

After a pamper evening my mood completely changes - I feel a lot more refreshed and a lot happier too. And sleepy- but I always am!

What sort of films do you like to watch when your having a pamper evening?

Lots of love, Kiera♥

Making Carrot Cake with me!

Hey everybody! Todays post is going to be something for all you carrot cake lovers like me!  I'm going to show you guys how to make carrot cake!♥
-This post could completely fail or go okay*fingers crossed*-

Ingredients;                                                                 Equipment;
  • Betty Crocker carrot cake mix                             1) 2 round bake tins
  • 3 medium eggs                                                    2) Large mixing bowl
  • 6 tbsp of oil                                                          3) cake stand ect
  • 200ml of water
  • betty crockers buttercream icing

               yeild; serves 12.`prep time; 10 minutes `cooking time;21-28minutes

Mix together all your ingredients(minus the icing!) until its thick and creamy...I used a hand whisk and it took 2-3minutes, I'm sure if you use an electric whisk it will be a lot faster.
I had a friend help me so whilst she was whisking I lined the cake tins with grease proof paper.

Your cake mix should look like this once you're done whisking. Pour you mix into the two cake tins you lined earlier. Make sure you use an even amount! You can of course lick the bowl and spoon after doing this..I hold my hands up to doing that!

Place these into the over for 21-28 minutes, when you take them out pierce them lightly with a knife and if any cake mix comes out on the knife place them back in the over for a little longer.

Once taking them out of the oven leave them to cool for around an hour so they're cool inside and out!
Once they are cool, the fun part begins..

.....ICING!

Make sure you ice the top of the two separate cakes first and then place one on top of the other.
Take heaps and heaps of buttercream icing and ice all around you cake, hopefully yours will look a lot better than mine does.

Remember the instructions are also on the back of the Betty Crocker Cake Mix if mine didn't help!

CARROT CAKE!♥

I don't even know how I feel about this post to be honest. However I hoped you guys enjoyed it, this was completely experimental.

Lots of love, Kiera♥

March haul 2014

Hey everyone,
so todays post is going to be a haul.

As usual I spent my weekend with my bestfriend Jenny shopping, I thought I would share with you guys a few things that I bought over the last weekend or two.
Enjoy♥

Clothing-

Primark cropped pattern tee- £5.00

I couldn't resist buying this gorgeous cropped top, its honestly so soft and is super comfortable!
It has a beautiful lace pattern on the front - so please wear a vest or bandoo underneath!
You can pair this top with so much- a skater skirt, shorts, jeans and even leggings(as long as they're thick enough)

primark little miss sunshine £6
This top is too adorable.. Despite me being 13 I actually would wear this out! More if I am around the house on a sunny day or seeing family!  I imagine this to look really cute with dungarees and high top converses!

Beauty related products-

Primark ps love nail polish £1

Some of you may know that Primark have recently bought out a beauty line called PS love and its actually quite nice!
They do a range of nail polishes too and yesterday I found this gorgeous coral shade. For only a pound you cant really go wrong! I cant wait to wear this in the summer!

topshop matte lipstick shade Whimsical £8

I have never tried one of the topshop lipsticks because I've never really felt the need too. However my friend Jenny recommended them!   After ages of swatching looking for a peachy nude I finally found one. I have been wearing this all day and it has lasted really well.

Collection lasting perfection concealer shade cool medium £4.19

This is the best concealer ever.
I usually like to try different make-up after running out however this concealer is my holy grale so I had to stick by it.

Batiste mini dry shampoo £1.50

Sometimes I want to be able to have third day hair but still look clean and fresh, don't we all?
Batiste is amazing for those days.

Candy bubble bar, £2.50 lush

Why haven't I tried this bubble bar before?
As always I had a sneaky little look around Lush yesterday and I wanted to try something new instead of always going for the same thing!
I always walk past this bubble and never pick it up, why I don't I don't understand either.
I gave it a quick smell yesterday and fell inlove with it.

Random buys-

I am not trusted with candles in my room for some reason, maybe its because I'm clumsy? My mum bought me these really cute little electric tea lights and two gorgeous owl LED lights to place around my room. They look so cute at night when they're switched on.

That's everything I've bought recently! Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed todays post. I have so many fun and exciting posts planned for the next week or two so keep an eye out for them!

Lots of love, Kiera♥

MUA undress your skin highlighter review

Hey everyone!

Beauty bloggers and beauty lovers will probably have seen this highlighter make its rounds a few months ago. It became an extremely hyped and coveted item which was often sold out in stores. I was able to get one after months of hunting it down. Many people love this highlighter but I didn't know what to expect since I haven't had the best luck with MUA products in the past. Luckily, it's actually very very nice.

MUA's Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter is a frosty champagne pink highlighting powder. It's almost metallic but looks beautiful on the skin, specially if you apply it with a light hand. I It will look nice on many skin tones as it isn't stark white or too yellow. The   powder is beautiful and the packaging is very nice, which is surprising considering its low price. The product is fairly soft, pigmented and wears well. Most people set such low standards for MUA down to how cheap it is. To tell you the truth I am not MUAs biggest fan, however this highlighter really did impress me and I was genuinely shocked at how amazing it is.

I like to apply this with a Real Techniques Contour Brush or with my fingers. It's not super opaque so you can use a semi-dense brush without looking like a disco ball. The quality is very nice, the only reasons I could think for someone to dislike this product is that they prefer a different colored highlighter or one with subtler shimmer because as you can probably tell this highlighter is quite shimmery.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you all enjoyed todays post!

'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG'

-
Hey everyone! So since you all enjoyed my TMI tag, today I decided to do the 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG'  I have read quite a few of these posts over the last week and thought it would be fun to do- so enjoy!♥

1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do
I rarely blow dry my hair, I don't know what it is but I hate using heat of my hair and when I blow dry my hair it goes mad, so then I have to end up most probably straightening my hair too. I only blow dry my hair if I have too *aka like once every 2 months*

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Okay I confess, my brushes are lucky if they get cleaned once every two weeks, I don't know why but I look at them and say 'Ah they'll be fine for another day' before you know it a day turns into a week. I haven't got any unclean makeup brush disease yet, so its okay right?

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I cant and I won't. Chipped nails for me is a disaster, I actually have OCD when it comes to my nails so the second they chip of comes the nail polish. If they happen to chip when I'm out I literally become so self conscious of my nails and try to hide them as much as possible.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
I don't, usually I repurchase the product a week or two before I actually run out so I have backups. If I know I desperately cannot live without that beauty item or nail polish, I buy it straight away. However most of the time I am open to trying new products so I don't always necessarily always repurchase the same item, all for blogging and beauty reviews ofcourse ;)

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Re-applying my powder, all the time. This is something most of my friends get annoyed at me for school about because I am forever spending a lot of time at break/lunch topping up my powder. I do have an explanation - I suffer with oily skin so I do need to top up my powder to keep my makeup looking matte. Its something I cannot help without topping up my powder I actually feel so self conscious about my makeup.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
This is going to sound really weird, but I put off getting ready for bed a lot. As much as I find going to bed so relaxing and it is one of my favourite times of the day, I hate getting ready for bed. Not in a childish or stupid way but I really dislike having to remove my makeup and cleanse my face and brush my hair every night. It all just seems like so much effort.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
Last minute ! I tell myself I have ages and spend too much time watching youtube/supernatural and on some form of technology.. I usually only leave myself about 45minutes for any normal person that's more than enough..for me that's just about the right amount of my time it takes me to do my hair and then redo my hair and then redo it again..you get the idea.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I've never tried but maybe. I think if I had distractions then sure. I'd also have to be banned from reading blogs, you guys are such a bad influence! ;)

9. How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Kind of average, to be honest. Some days it will be really neat and other days I will have been rushing around to get ready and rushed when doing my makeup that I end up throwing it all over the place.

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
Maximum two weeks, even if I have no idea what to write about I will always find something!

Rules:
1. copy and paste these 'rules' into your post when you write it!
2. You must state that this tag was created by Laura from
The Beau Bow.
3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post, follow them if you're feeling nice and at the end of your post state who you tag, and comment on their blog  to let them know you tagged them.
4. Title this post 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG' .
5. Have fun! :)

I wasn't tagged to do this but I thought I would give it a go anyway!
I tag all of you guys to give this TAG a go, if you do leave your blog link in the comments because I would love to check it out!

Thanks for reading! :D

Dior makeup review

Hey everyone! Today I was looking through my posts to see which ones were the most popular and it turnt out my Dior make-up collection was one of the most popular posts I have done. I got so many emails and messages asking for reviews on the products included, I decided today I would share with you guys my thoughts and honest opinions of these products. *ps I hope you like what I did with the pictures*
Enjoy♥

I am quite confident when it comes to lipstick shades, I don't mind a brighter/darker colour. Therefore this lipstick suits me very well. Its a gorgeous medium toned red, the colour lasts throughout the day. Obviously we eat during the day and we don't want our lipstick to smudge, especially a red lipstick that's just a recipe for disaster. Luckily this lipstick doesn't smudge very easily, making you feel less worried about your lips looking a tragic mess whilst eating/drinking. The pigmentation is beautiful and the formula isn't drying or too glossy.
Liquid eyeliners and I aren't usually friends, especially if they're waterproof. Mainly because I am terrible at applying liquid eyeliners, as I usually find the brush isn't very easy to control and I often end up smudging my eyes before they have even dried. This liquid eyeliner on the other hand, is so easy to apply. As you can see the  brush is thin and very petite, allowing me to have more control over the eyeliner. I think the longest this eyeliner takes to dry is five seconds and after that it literally becomes smudge proof. I cannot stand waterproof makeup as it is usually a killer to remove; whereas this eyeliner comes off nice and easy with my bourjous makeup remover. The only down fault I have is that it looks very jet black, but when you apply it, it often goes more of a light black/grey colour..So I often find myself applying 2 coats just to be safe.
For some annoying reason my camera made this powder look really pale, but I can assure you its not! I am super fussy when it comes to powders because I suffer with oily skin and I need a powder that will hide that, whilst helping to set my makeup. This powder does both of those things. I really like the way you can wear this alone&it gives you a bit coverage without having to wear any makeup underneath. I am so scared of using this powder up that I only really use this powder for special occasions or for something important. The packaging is really secure and I don't have to worry about the lid coming undone&the powder smashing all over my bag*disaster waiting to happen*
Don't like glittery sticky glosses? Then this is the lip gloss for you. I hate it when you buy a nice lip gloss and it turns out to be sheer and really glittery. I had my fingers crossed the whole time that this lip gloss wouldn't be like that, but it isn't*thew*. Its pigmented enough to wear alone and has a light shine to it, nothing too major. The colour I beautiful and I cant wait to wear this alone in the summer. I have only worn this a few times, it does stay on quite well. However after a few hours you may need to re-apply it!
I think we all know my opinion on this blusher already.. This picture doesn't do the colour any justice*annoying*. I love this blusher so much! The colours are a great combination and it looks stunning on! This doesn't look to fake on my skin either it gives of a beautiful natural colour.
This is were I got disappointed,  after trying all the other products I got my hopes up for this pencil eyeliner too. However I think I was expecting too much. This eyeliner is very hard and it isn't the nicest thing to apply eyeliner in your waterline with. The pigmentation is okay, the colour is meant to be  black but it comes out more of a navy blue/black. I have never been a massive fan of these sort of eyeliners anyway, but I kind of hoped this being so expensive it would be a little better. *sadface*
This is the last make-up product left to review. I am quite picky with my mascara and I like one to lengthen my eyelashes as I don't have long eyelashes at all, sadly. I am not too fussed about a mascara curling them as I can do that myself. This mascara is really volumising&lengthens your lashes*thumbs up* I like the way this mascara comes off easily with makeup remover and even makeup wipes! I recommend this mascara to people who want a mascara that lengthens and volumises their lashes.
I know this isn't makeup, but it came with my dior makeup so I though why not review their brushes too. These are so soft omg*impressed*. I wasn't sure whether or not these brushes would be very easy to clean, however I clean them the same as my real techniques brushes and there fine so far*fingers crossed I don't ruin them by accident*. All of these brushes are actually travel size which is great for someone like me who has to take them to my dads a lot and doesn't want to take big bulky brushes everywhere. They come in this cute little pouch making them even more easy to take with me.

Let me know if you would like to see a post on how I clean my makeup brushes. Thankyou for reading, I hope you enjoyed reading this post as it took me longer than usual because I edited my photos. These are my own opinions and I was not payed/sponsored to do this post either. Hopefully you all enjoy this post as much as you enjoyed the collection post.
