Hello everybody- Today I have a highly requested post for you all.
I may or may not be a procrastinator when it comes to some things. Cleaning my makeup brushes is definitely one of those things. It's not really even a huge process since I don't have that many brushes but every time I think about doing it, I'm like, "Ehhh. It can wait until tomorrow. I don't use them that much and surely there not that dirty..." Repeat mantra every day and a whole month has flown by. No bueno.

In reality, brushes contain so much leftover makeup, dirt and bacteria that can sit in them and cause nasty break outs and clogged pores if not cleaned on a regular basis.
YOU WILL NEED;
A bowl of lukewarm water
A bottle of baby shampoo
A clean cloth
Olive oil(optional)
Your dirty brushes
- Begin by taking a bowl of lukewarm water and adding a squirt of baby shampoo, if you want to also condition your brushes you can add a squirt of olive oil too!
- Gently swirl your brush tip in the water. If you need to, you may also swirl the brush in the palm of your hand to work up a lather, I always do but you can skip this step if you wish!
- Rinse the brush tip under running water so you are not using the dirty water to finish off with. Repeat steps two and three until all the makeup is removed from your brushs.
- Use a cloth to wipe your brush clean, reshaping the bristles as you go.
5. Lay your brushes onto your cloth to dry, I usually fold one side of my cloth up so my brushes tilt downwards so it becomes easier for them to dry quicker!
That's how I clean my make up brushes, how do you clean yours?
I hope this helped those of you who weren't sure on how to clean your brushes! Or even just gave you a couple of tips.
Love, Kiera xx
