Wilko Apricot Lip Scrub

Hey lovelies! Today I wanted to share with you all one of my new all time favourite lip products, that being this gorgeous lip scrub from Wilkinson's. I jumped on the bandwagon of the Lush lip scrubs a few months back and I was disappointed to say the least. I didn't really like any of the scents, they were too sickly or too stale tasting. I know they are a scrub  but they have no moisture to them so it felt a little too rough for me. My lips have been in need of a good scrubbing for a while but I've never found one that works.

Recently I picked this little beauty up for only £2!! I couldn't walk away without it in my basket, the scent/flavour lured me in the most to be honest. I've never seen a fruity lip scrub so I couldn't wait to try this out. This smells and tastes amazing(yes I do lick it off my lips, possibly not that good for you to do but it cant be helped).

The texture of this is super fine, the sugar granules are tiny so its not at all too harsh or rough. When you rub this on your lips you can really feel it getting rid of the dead skin, but you can also feel your lips becoming moisturised and super soft. You can definitely feel the oil coming through this, not so much that's its greasy but just the right amount. I usually put a tiny bit on one finger and that does the whole of my lips for me so you really don't need a lot. This is perfect to apply before a lip balm or lipstick, particularly matte lipsticks as they can sometimes cling to dead skin and its not a classy look.

Wilkinson's beauty range is still new and growing but I do hope they add more scents to there line because Apricot probably doesn't appeal to everyone so if they added a few more scents then a lot  more people would benefit from these scrubs.

For £2 you cant go wrong, this is definitely worth the price! Your lips even look a little more plumbed after this, so there's no need to suck on a shot glass anymore.. One thing I would say is try not to over use it, I'm talking every hour because I did that with a lip scrub before and caused my lips to bleed..  I hope this soothes your chapped lips especially since winter is just around the corner! Pair this with your favourite lip balm and your lips are in for a good old treat.

My favourite combo : Apricot Lip Scrub & Vaseline Rosy Lips

Sleep Easy

Hey lovelies. Today I have a post for you all on some tips that I use when I need a goodnights sleep. I struggle with falling asleep easily and often find myself awake at 3am scrolling through pinterest looking at cute dogs.. You know the feeling right?. I have never been, nor will I ever be somebody who can fall asleep the second my head hits the pillow. However these little things do help me fall asleep within half n hour instead of three hours.

Peppermint Tea. I'm not one for Camomile tea to be completely honest I hate the taste. Despite the fact it induces sleep I refuse to drink it. I've recently discovered that peppermint tea has the same effect. I love grabbing myself a warm cup of tea and snuggling up in bed, this makes me feel so relaxed. When I drink peppermint tea I feel my eyelids begin to drop a lot quicker. Tea makes me feel so cosy. I wouldn't recommend drinking caffeine tea right before bed if you're looking to fall asleep quickly.

Sleep sprays, these usually don't work for me and the smell often irritates me. That being said my mum managed to find the perfect spray. This particular one is by Febreze and has a gorgeous lavender scent. You spray this from a distance onto your bed sheets and pyjamas and it leaves a subtle hint of lavender. I particularly find the smell of lavender really comforting because it reminds me of my nan as she'd always have lavender in her garden. This again comforts me and also  makes me feel fresh because its quite a clean scent.

I really enjoy listening to something when I fall asleep, it differs for me. Sometimes its an audible book, a podcast or the sound of rain. Any of these three I love falling asleep too. Lately it's been the sound of rain. I love the sound of rain. I usually turn it up to a medium volume, put my phone on my bedside table and just shut my eyes. I drift off so quickly. Rain makes me feel so calm and cosy because it screams Autumn/Winter to me and there my favourite times of the year. I use an app called Rain, Rain and you can set a timer for how long you want the app to play for. I usually go for about ten hours so then you wake up the sound of rain too and it doesn't stop half way through the night and start playing ocean noises. The sound of the ocean makes me need to pee as much as I love the beach I cant listen to it during the night!

If you fancy a good nights sleep I recommend using these tips and hopefully you drift off into a deep sleep and sleep like a baby! If you have your own tips then leave them in the comments below as I'd love to know what you do to fall asleep easy.

UPDATE :Blogs Birthday!

Hey lovelies! Talk about long time no see, it's been almost a month since I logged onto Blogger! If you follow me on Twitter then you're already aware of the nightmare I've been having. My laptop keyboard wont type anything. Grr.

A few days after my reflection post went up I went away to Butlins with my dad for the weekend, then I came back and went to write up a post and I couldn't type anything. I tried every way possible to fix it. Now the laptop is in the shop and hopefully getting fixed, I hope its quick. I then went away to Cornwall and had a lovely time, post soon I hope.

Anyway whilst I was away my blog turned two on the 21st of August!! I had planned to do a post on it, but you know why it didn't happen. Two years I've had this blog?!, I received some lovely messages from people on twitter wishing Beauty Deprived a happy birthday which made me smile immensely. The support I've had throughout the two years has been incredible. I've met some friends for life through my blog, I've also been invited to a few upcoming events which is super exciting! Although I'm so nervous I can't wait.

I'm having to borrow my sisters laptop so I have to be fairly lenient with how many posts I produce because this is hers and she does need it too but I'm very grateful for her to let me use it.

More posts soon!
