Autumnal Beauty Tips & Tricks

Hi lovelies!

Back in Summer 2014, I did a post on 'Summer Beauty Tips & Tricks '. One of my most popular posts to this day. I thought I would switch it up and do it for Autumn this year.

FOUNDATION
Personally, I think during autumn/winter matte skin looks gorgeous. Throughout summer we all head towards to more duey, glowy looks. I'd ditch the BB creams, whack out your favourite foundation and create a flawless look.  I personally love the Mac Pro-Long wear. It's semi-matte and a full coverage gorgeous foundation. This is my go-to foundation this year.

REDS/PURPLES
This Autumn/Winter experiment with something darker, maybe a red lip? Or a cranberry eye-shadow?. I know dark colours aren't for everyone, but I can't help myself and buy a whole range of reds/purples around this time of year. If you're not brave enough to wear a dark lip or eye-shadow colour then how about a nail polish? Red is such a classy, elegant nail colour in my opinion.

PRIMER
We all know Christmas is around the corner, although we wont admit it to ourselves. This means long days of shopping in the freezing cold wrapped up in warm scarves. Therefore you're going to want your make-up to last. Find yourself a good all day primer, I love the Benefit Porefessional. This means you don't have to worry about visible pores as this fills them in, blurring them out. Also if you do opt for a matte foundation, by using a primer they become a lot more easy to blend in.

MOISTURISER
Autumn/Winter especially in England becomes a lot colder, and can often dry your skin out. Especially if you do use a lot of matte products in your make-up routine like I do. There's nothing worse than trying to blend out make-up over dry patches of skin, as the foundation then usually clings to it. Not the best look. For this time of year I love the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser. Even if you do suffer with oily skin, this doesn't mean to say you shouldn't moisturise either. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS RUN THE MOISTURISER DOWN YOUR NECK TOO!

EX-FOLIATE
If you don't want dull, ill looking, dry skin this time of year then ex-foliate at least 2-times a week!! Get rid of all that dead skin before you moisturise. This also helps give your skin a good old clean, getting rid of the dirt from your pores. Which prevents black heads, so its a win win situation. I'm not just talking about your face here, ex-foliate your body too! It's best to exfoliate your legs after you have shaved them. That's if you still bother around this time of year haha!

There my Autumn beauty tips and tricks, do you have any of your own?
