Mac Pro Longwear | Review

Hi lovelies!

Today I'm reviewing the Mac Pro Longwear foundation. I also have a dupe for this foundation too. I've been using this foundation for a few months now and it's my new must have foundation.  I use shade NW20 and I am fairly pale, this matches my skin tone perfectly.

This foundation retails for £25.50, this is a little more pricey than your standard drug store foundation but so worth it!! It's 30ml, which is the average amount to get in a foundation bottle. It has a pump, which locks, this comes in handy for travelling. If you've travelled with foundation before, then you know the struggles of it when it decides to leak everywhere. This prevents that, thankfully.

If you have oily skin, and long for a foundation that lasts on your face and doesn't slip and slide everywhere, then this is the one! It's a stunning semi-matte foundation, which is high coverage and lasts all day. It blends so well and works with either a brush or a beauty blender.

Last Saturday I applied this at 10 am in the morning and didn't take it off until around 10 pm that night. It was still perfectly on my skin before I took it off. I had also been out all day, gone on rides hugged friends and snuggled up in scarves in the cold too. It hasn't ever made my skin look shiny and the gorgeous finish lasts all day. My skin gets so many compliments whenever I wear this. It also works amazing with cream products too, it doesn't make any additional products hard to blend.

Personally I think primer isn't that necessary with this foundation, whilst primers do improve the lasting power and blurs pores. This foundation works perfectly with out one so there's no need to stress if you don't have a primer to go with it.

DUPE TIME - I am aware that not everybody can afford or even wants to pay a lot of money for a foundation so I tested out two drug store foundations and found that they are amazing dupes. The first one being the L'Oreal True Match, this has the same lasting power and coverage, however I do usually have to top up my powder with this one. Besides that they're identical. This retails for £9.99. The last dupe I found was the Revlon ColorStay, this has had so much hype through youtube and blogs. It's very clear why, this is the perfect dupe and matches the MAC foundation perfectly. This one retails for £12.99
